Part I:

Normal--conforming to the popular standard

Abnormal--deviating from the popular standard

Standard--a model approved by popular consent

Popular--regarded with favor by the people in general

General--that which is common to most (What, exactly, is common to most?)

Analysis: That which is popular is not necessarily good. It is our duty as human persons always to do good and avoid evil.

Conclusion: It is desirable to DEVIATE from the popular standard.

Part II:

Smile--sometimes used to assume a facial expression of derision

Derision--contemptuous laughter

Contempt--the feeling with which a person regards anything considered vile.

Vile--wretchedly bad

Wretched--despicable

Despicable--deserving to be despised

Despise--to regard with contempt

Analysis: Is the popular standard despicable? (YES!)

Conclusion: It is desirable to assume sometimes a facial expression of derision.

Denouement: "Be abnormal: Smile!"-Sarah
